Pet Care You Can Trust

I have been an animal enthusiast since I was young. I grew up surrounded by dogs and a few cats. I've always known I wanted to have a career taking care of animals, but I didn't know in what capacity.

 

After graduating high school, I worked in two boarding kennels and also helped the in-house groomer bathing the animals. However, at the time I felt I had a more profound calling helping animals, so I enrolled at the Vet Tech Institute (VTI) in Pittsburgh.

 

I graduated VTI in December 2007. I was hired at my first animal hospital after finishing my externship with them. Within the next three years, I worked at another animal hospital and shortly after that I got married and had our one and only daughter. I am so grateful to have been able to stay home with her for eight years.

 

Once she was older, I decided to start my pet sitting venture with Rover. I then went out on my own in the beginning of 2020. Following the Covid-19 outbreak, business started to slow and I needed to find something to occupy more of my time.

The Washington Area Humane Society welcomed me with open arms. I spent over a year helping in the dog kennel and then I was able to transition in with their vet staff. I have learned so much about the shelter culture and what shelter animals go through.

In the last few months, I have had past clients asking if I would consider pet sitting again. So, you all have asked and I feel that it's time to come back. I am looking forward to seeing many of you and meeting any potential clients as well.
